Reservations can be made 13 months in advance; payment due at the time of reservation. No refund if cancelled within 30 days of reservation. Longstanding reservations are given priority for the next year’s date. Shelter capacities are based on 7 persons per table and each shelter has a barbeque grill. In addition, there are numerous picnic tables and grills available on a first come – first served basis with barbecue grills at all city parks. Roy H. Smith Shelterhouse
Located in Fred Fuller Park this enclosed shelter house is capable of seating 68 people. The facility includes a kitchenette, fireplace, tables and chairs, and restrooms.
Monday-Friday (3-11pm) : $75.00 Resident / $100.00 Non-Resident
Saturday-Sunday (10am-11pm) : $100.00 Resident / $125.00 Non-Resident
Old Kent Jailhouse
Located in Fred Fuller Park this historic building is capable of seating 22 people. The facility includes a kitchenette, tables and chairs, restrooms and a large deck overlooking the Cuyahoga River. The key for rental must be picked up at the KPR Office, hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kent Recreation Center
The center, located at 1115 Franklin Avenue, is available for rental to groups for athletic activities on weekends when there are no scheduled programs. It may be rented for two hour time slots on selected days for a fee of $75.00 for residents and $100.00 for non-residents. Please call (330) 673-897 for additional booking information.
