SUMMER CAMP ADMINISTRATOR
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any field or Child Development Associate’s Degree. Must pass background check, drug test and pre-employment physical. Experience with children and/or management preferred.
Availability: MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY! Consistent shifts between 8 AM & 5 PM starting June 3rd through August 9th. Training can begin any time in Spring 2024. School year employment also available in our ‘24-‘25 Before and After School program, but is not required.
Job Responsibilities: Managing up to 3 staff and supervising up to 36 children entering 1st through 6th grade in camp locations at the City of Kent’s Recreation Center, Davey Elementary or Plum Creek Park. Following and maintaining ODJFS state childcare licensing regulations for the program, supervising children and staff on field trips within the community, interacting with parents and school faculty, attending staff meetings and child development trainings, adapting to behavioral and educational needs of children, handling conflict management within children, completing lesson plans, etc. Professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task is a must!

Job Responsibilities: Supervising children entering 1st through 6th grade in camp locations at the City of Kent’s Recreation Center, Davey Elementary or Plum Creek Park. Completing lesson plans, managing a group of up to 18 students on your own, supervising children on field trips within the community, adapting to the behavioral and educational needs of children, handling conflict management within children, interacting with parents and school faculty, attending monthly staff meetings and child development trainings, etc.
Hourly Pay Rate: $12.00-$16.00/hr. + Sick Time – Pay Rate is based on Education & Experience
