We are just a month away from the 2024 Cuyahoga River Days celebration! Check out the following events:
River Day Festival
- May 18th from 9 AM – 1 PM
- Located at the Haymaker Farmers Market on the corner of Franklin Ave and College St in downtown Kent
- Free and Open to ALL!
- Free tree seedlings & native wildflower seeds to attract birds, bees, and butterflies to your yard. Visit with aquatic animals and take-home family activities! Learn about the watershed, cleanups, and ways to explore Kent’s historical hike, bike, and water trails. Environmental displays.
Electrofishing Demonstration
- May 18th from 10 AM – 4 PM
- Presented by Davey Resource Group
- Located at Tannery Park – 300 Stow St, Kent OH
- Free & Open to All
- Observe an electrofishing (e-fishing) demo at Tannery Park. You will see how fish are captured with e-fishing equipment by experienced aquatic life biologists. There will be opportunities for you to get up close and personal with local fish species so be sure to bring the kids, our budding biologists of tomorrow! Watch for posted updates, Plum Creek Park is the backup location.
