Before & After School Program Administrator
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any field or Child Development Associate’s Degree. Must pass
background check, drug test and pre-employment physical. Experience with children and/or
management preferred.
Availability: MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY from 6:30-8:30 AM and 3:00-6:00 PM during the Kent City School’s school year. Training can begin immediately based on applicant’s availability. Summer employment available, but not required.
Job Responsibilities: Managing up to 3 staff and supervising up to 36 Kindergarten-6th graders in before and after school programs located in the Kent City Schools and the City of Kent Recreation Center. Following and maintaining ODJFS state childcare licensing regulations for the program, interacting with parents and school faculty, attending staff meetings and child development trainings, adapting to behavioral and educational needs of children, applying conflict management within children, completing lesson plans, etc. Professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task is a must!
Rate of Pay: $12.00-$16.00/hr. + Sick Time – Pay Rate is based on Education & Experience
Before & After School Program Counselors
Qualifications: High School Diploma OR enrolled in an Early Childhood or Child Development
program (Career Tech, CDA or College Credit) as a High School Senior. Must pass background check,
drug test and pre-employment physical. Experience with children preferred.
